Spa in a jar!

As it's my Mum's Birthday today, I wanted to make something creative, I am an active pinner on Pinterest and came across 'Spa in a jar'. It looks wonderful and smells so fresh!

First of all find a jar a reasonable size to fit the goodies in, I selected a flying saucer plastic jar which can easily be found in your nearest supermarket seeet aisle! Then I bought a lovely red polka dot ribbon to match the lid from the card factory for under £2 for 2 meters. Then fill/stuff with anything you like- glitter, tissue paper e.t.c I used shredded paper.
Feel free to create a label if you wish, I made one from a piece of baby blue card. Then write and sellotape a cute message on or 'spa in a jar'.
Finally the best bit, fill with all their fave body treats.
I used products from Dove, Boots, Soap and Glory, Bayliss and Harding e.t.c

This pressie can be made by anyone, mine was around £20 something pounds but you can make an extravagant high end spa in a jar or a budget one!

Simple and effective.
The equipment you will need:
A jar
Scissors
Sellotape
Ribbon
Card
Fave bath treats
Something to fill e.g.
Tissue paper.

Memoir in a box.

After using up my deliciously scented bath products from Ted Baker I just couldn't throw away the beautiful box!
I am such an organised person but admittedly a storage hoarder!

I think it is essential to captivate every memory however big or small and what better to use then creating a memory box! I had seen others doing this and just had to try it out for myself! So far it's coming along great and I can't wait to read back through all the amazing times that have happened and still to come this year.

Why not try your own, use anything you can from a shoe box to a jam jar!

Gingerbread house creation..

Sorry for the lack of posting recently! My blogger didn't want to know:(.

So yesterday I made a very scrummy and tasty gingerbread house with my sister, despite the fact everything was premade it didn't go down completely well and decided to keep falling down.. plus we put the roof on the wrong way but it still tasted great, it's gingerbread!

For a really quick yummy treat, something to show your creative and fun side simply, try a ready made kit to start off with. Kits like this are awesome and will be in the sale as it's just after Christmas!

It's as simple as sticking the biscuits together with ready made icing and decorating as you please with any toppings you like, it also comes with little sweets!

Go create your edible masterpiece!

Bath bliss.

Do you ever get to a special occassion, the last minute impersonal present of some cute smellies? What a myth. They make a great pressie! I absolutely love to soak in the bath for ages and read a good book- super relaxing and stress relieving. The sweetest little present I could receive would be adorable little bath bombs, especially from Lush!
I used my lovely penguin bath bomb last night which was a pressie for Christmas and it was so fresh and smelt like fresh towels and soap. I used the whole bathbomb but you can use it twice!

It left my skin supple, rejuvenated and ridiculously soft! I realise Lush is hugely raved about but it's so worth buying! Go get yourself one of these cute little guys if you can bare to run him under the bath tap. :(

What's your favourite bath product at the moment?

mmm mango.

These lime green tealights are the perfect asset to your bedroom, they illuminate the smell of sweeties and jelly beans. The feeling of a child in a sweet shop! If you love the tropical smell of mango then these little tealights are perfect for you, even though they are dainty they have a long burning life and your whole room will smell delicious instantly!
I then lit them in this gorgeous personalised tealight holder.

Perfume perfection.

I am utterly addicted to trying new perfumes and drawn to beautiful packaging of old/new ones, especially Marc Jacobs!
This year for Christmas I received Marc Jacobs Honey- it has a sweet little bee on the bottle and is completely adorable. Honey smells fresh and slightly citrus, not too sweet but is long lasting and a light fragrance.
I also got Valentino- Valentina, which is stunning, it looks elegant and you can also reuse the sophisticated box for all sorts! Valentina smells fairly rich and very expensive, it lasts all day and looks faultless on your dressing table.
My all round favourite has to be though... Thierry Mugler Alien. The smell is incredible, I have never worn such a beautiful scent and not a single person has disliked it. It is strong however not overpowering. It's the opposite of a floral scent and smells slightly musky with a very vibrant aroma.
Marc Jacobs- Honey gift set!

Valentino gift set. Even the body lotion bottle is gorgeous.

Thierry Mugler- Alien, the body lotion smells divine too.

2014 talk!

It's a great feeling, a brand new year! I like to look at the fact that whether you keep your resolutions or not it's great to start a fresh with a positive attitude!
I haven't really done a lot on my blog which I am truly dissapointed about, due to bad organisation skills and not forgetting heaps of lengthy college work!

However...

My resolutions and plans for this year consist of:
  • blogging every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
  • Starting a memory box and filling it with memories, funny moments e.t.c however small or big!
  • Having a healthier attitude to a diet!
  • Being more adventurous and positive i.e. joining something new- perhaps a club or being less lazy!
2013 as many people will say has been an absolute mixture of ups and downs, parties, new friendships, old friendships, trips and travels, new beginnings and realising the important past and people. I have been extremely lucky for some of the opportunities I have been given and exciting events I have had the joy of going to(e.g. The Clothes Show Live) and taking my lovely sister to see Ellie Goulding

.

I can't wait for what 2014 has to hold, have a great New Year everyone, I hope to keep old faces and hopefully see new ones visiting my blog!

I appreciate and reply to every comment on my blog, thank you!
